WHAT IS QUESTION 6?
We have the chance to keep abortion bans out of Nevada for good on November 5.
Decisions about abortion should be made by women and their doctors—not unqualified politicians. Question 6 will protect the right to abortion in Nevada and ensure no politician can take away our freedom.
Why Voting YES ON 6 Matters
From Florida and Texas to right next door in Arizona and Utah, we’ve seen politicians enacting dangerous abortion bans across the country since the day Roe v. Wade was overturned.
The consequences of those bans are real and dangerous: from a 10-year-old rape victim in Ohio who was forced to travel to Indiana to get the abortion she needed, to a Texas woman who lost liters of blood during a miscarriage and had to go on a breathing machine before doctors could legally help her.
Tragic stories like these are proof that politicians are never more qualified to make healthcare decisions than women and their medical providers—and doctors and nurses should never have to risk jail time just to treat the patient in front of them.
We can’t let these bans reach Nevada—and we can’t take for granted that our rights will stay safe, or risk future generations having fewer rights and freedoms than their parents and grandparents. We need to show up and vote YES on Question 6 to keep politicians out of Nevadans’ personal medical decisions for good.
